The project "Green Trails" was held for the first time at the Baku Zoological Park

The project "Green Trails" was held for the first time at the Baku Zoological Park.
In addition to studying the morphology, biological features, ecology, conservation, and reintroduction of animals, the Zoological Park also organizes educational activities aimed at protecting flora, increasing green plantings, and improving the condition of vegetation.
The main goal of the "Green Trails" project is to preserve the biodiversity of flora, as well as to spread knowledge about the stages of vegetation and proper agro-technical care for plants. The project also aims to foster a responsible attitude toward nature and environmental culture among children.

The first participants in the event were first-grade pupils  from the Lyceum of Modern Innovations.
The pupils  participated in the process of planting various decorative flowers and shrubs on the territory of the Zoological Park and also became familiar with plant care, watering, and other related activities. They were provided with both theoretical and practical knowledge on soil preparation, proper planting techniques, ensuring an adequate watering regime, and methods of protecting plants from pests.
Such activities contribute to the formation of ecological thinking, the development of work skills, and the cultivation of a sensitive attitude toward the environment among pupils.
