A production practice has started for the students of Baku State University at the Baku Zoological Park

In collaboration with the Faculty of Ecology and Soil Science of Baku State University, a production practice has been organized for the 4th-year students at the Baku Zoological Park starting from February 16, 2024.
During the practice, after getting acquainted with the work carried out at the Baku Zoological Park, the students participated in training sessions in the aquarium, education, mammals, and birds sections. The directions of the production practice were focused not only on meeting modern-day requirements but also on the application of theoretical knowledge acquired during the education process, aiming at the formation of practical skills. The training sessions were led by experts from the Zoological Park in the relevant departments.
During the practice, the students explored the ethology, biology, ecology, and lifestyle of animals, took care of them, and filmed videos. In addition, the trainees participated in activities related to enriching the enclosures, organizing biodiversity conservation, guided visitors on tours, and organized master classes for young guests.
Throughout the practice, the students developed a sense of respect and care for nature and acquired knowledge and skills related to their specialty, such as responsibility, prioritization, decision-making, accuracy, analytical thinking, and other professional competencies.
The production practice will play a crucial role in the future employment of these young individuals in fields related to biology and ecology, as well as in securing positions at the Baku Zoological Park, contributing to their development as highly qualified specialists.
It should be noted that the production practice at the Baku Zoological Park will continue until April 12, 2024.
