Absheron National Park
A species of bird belonging to the Duck family of the Anseriformes order of the Birds class. It mainly winters in Azerbaijan, nests in the Shirvan National Park. Wintering birds are recorded in the second half of November-February. They are found in waters along the Caspian coast and inland wetlands. Its body color is white, the beak and edges are black, the tip and base of the beak are orange. It differs from the Lesser and Whooper Swans in the orange color of the beak and the presence of a black swelling at its apex. When swimming, it holds its neck in the shape of the letter “S” and its head tilted. Its body length is 180 cm, the length of its wings when spread is 240 cm, the mass of the female is 5.5-6.0, the male is 8-13, and sometimes 22.5 kg.
