Baku Zoological Park hosted a celebration titled "The Future Belongs to Children"
A festive event was held at the Baku Zoological Park on the occasion of June 1 - International Children's Day, at the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Founder and Head of IDEA Public Union.
More than 300 children from orphanages No. 2 and 3, the "Umid Yeri" children's shelter, as well as general-purpose boarding school No. 2, Republican special-purpose boarding school No. 5, sanatorium-type boarding school No. 8 and special boarding school No. 2 participated in the celebration titled "The Future Belongs to Children", which was held with the support of the Baku Abadlig Service.
A rich program was prepared for children to have a fun and memorable day during the celebration. Games and competitions organized in various corners of the Zoological Park aroused great interest among the children, and the winners were delighted with gifts. Magician performances, the participation of cartoon characters and interactive quizzes added color to the event and gave children joyful moments.
The event also provided children with the opportunity to demonstrate their creative skills. They actively participated in various master classes such as making toys from natural materials, decorating eco-bags, drawing, painting plasterboards and face painting.
The educational component was also one of the main directions of the event. Animations reflecting the lifestyle of animals were shown to children in the lecture hall of the Zoological Park, and interesting presentations were held about their biology and behavioral characteristics. During the outdoor excursion, the children were visually informed about the external structure and living conditions of animals. In order to form a responsible approach to nature and instill a sense of compassion for animals, the children were also given the opportunity to have direct contact with some animals, feed and care for them.
At the end of the day, usable toys collected in donation boxes placed in various parts of the city as part of the IDEA Public Union's "Share Your Joy" campaign were presented to all children. This initiative, which is especially gratifying for children, has brought them smiles, joy, and a festive mood. IDEA Public Union expresses its deep gratitude to all participants and volunteers who contributed to the successful implementation of the campaign and supported this noble initiative.
