Greek Tortoıse

Rocky hillsides, Mediterranean scrub, forests, fields and meadows. Geographic range includes North Africa, Southwest Asia, Southern Europe and Caucasus.

Tortoises are land-dwelling and are mostly herbivorous, but their diet may include a certain amount of animal-based foods, such as carrion. They can survive without food and water for a very long time, and may not even need water when vegetation is available, but they drink it in the extreme heat.
