Shirvan National Park

A species of animal belonging to the Canidae family of the Predatory order of the Mammalian class. It is found in all regions of Azerbaijan. It lives and breeds in forest and mountainous areas, including open areas. Its body length reaches 90 cm, and its tail reaches 60 cm. It has an elongated face and large pointed ears. Its back is brown, its belly is white, sometimes black. Its food consists of rodents, rabbits, birds, various plants, fish, and reptiles. It leads a solitary lifestyle, forming pairs to give birth and raise young. The gestation period is 49-58 days. It gives birth to 4-12 young.
