One of the characteristic morphological features of the parrot is the black and pink patch pattern on the neck of males. In females and young individuals, this pattern is either weakly noticeable or not observed at all. Representatives of the species can accurately imitate the human voice, as well as doorbells, children's cries and various musical sounds, and can remember up to 30-50 words.
