Lesser Spotted Eagle

Azerbaijan (Guba-Khachmaz, Sheki-Zagatala, Lankaran, Nakhchivan, Shirvan plains and Talysh Mountains), mountainous regions of Eastern and Central Europe

The lesser spotted eagle gets its name from its dark brown and light-colored feathers decorated with spots on its body. It prefers to live alone, only during the breeding season does it begin to live in pairs. These birds, which usually hunt for food on the ground, build their nests in high places.
